Our 2nd graders were captivated by Ms. Ren's storytelling during our Ancient Asian Civilizations CKLA unit! Her personal experiences with the Spring Festival in China brought our lessons to life. The kids couldn't stop talking about the stories, asking questions about ancient and modern China, and connecting with the vibrant history weāre exploring.
The 2nd grade CKLA curriculum consists of 14 lessons, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of early Asian civilizations, including the mighty rivers that shaped India and China, and the introduction of religions like Hinduism and Buddhism. This rich curriculum not only reinforces key concepts but also sparks curiosity and respect for diverse cultures.

Our 1st graders have been diving deep into the wonders of the human body! They've combined creativity and learning by crafting life-size replicas of themselves using butcher paper, adding each body system as they learn about the skeletal, muscular, digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems. Through interactive lessons, our young scientists have will explore how their bodies work, learn about healthy habits, and discover the importance of exercise, nutrition, and hygiene.
Jaker's Spirit Night!

This month, our young learners explored the power of grit and mastered positive self-affirmation techniques to overcome challenges.
