Ms. Harper's 2nd graders just took book reports to a whole new level! Each student picked their favorite book and brought a character to life by decorating a pumpkin to match.
From beloved storybook heroes to adventurous tale-tellers, Ms. Harper's classroom was filled with pumpkins bursting with personality ā and students beaming with pride as they presented their books!
We love seeing creativity, reading, and a little fall magic come together. Great job, 2nd graders!

Ms. Morrow's 1st graders just wrapped up an exciting CKLA journey exploring three tiny heroes from around the world: Thumbelina, Tom Thumb, and Issun Boshi!
These stories showed us that even the smallest people can do BIG things ā and to celebrate, our students created their very own small characters and retold the tales themselves!

Our annual Halloween Parade is October 30th at 3:00 PM! Students will walk the outside loop of the school on the sidewalk closest to the building (see map), wrapping up just before dismissal at 3:30 PM.
Spectators: Please watch from the grassy areas or the outer edges of the sidewalk to keep the parade path clear.
Important: Plan ahead and let your student know where to meet you after the parade ā there will be no early check-outs.
-Costume reminders:
-Keep costumes fun, not too scary
-No weapons or weapon facsimiles, please
-Masks may only be worn during the parade

On July 4, 2026, our nation commemorated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence ā a moment to reflect on our past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead to the future we want to create for the next generation.
At Sage Creek Elementary, our students did just that! Ms. Howard worked with every grade level to create artwork celebrating America, and we proudly displayed it for families at our October Parent Teacher Conference.
This photo is of our grade level winners! Two of these talented artists ā one from our upper grades and one from our lower grades ā will represent our school at the district competition. We're so proud of their creativity and hard work!

This week, Mr. Runolfson's 5th graders joined Ms. Allred's kindergarteners for a hands-on pumpkin investigation! Our kinders received pumpkins on their field trip to Cornbelly's, and their 5th grade buddies helped them dig into some real science ā weighing their pumpkins, making predictions about whether they would float or sink, measuring the circumference, and observing and drawing the unique attributes of each pumpkin.

Red Ribbon Week-October 26-30th
As Term 1 wraps up, our teachers selected one student from each class as our Kind Kid of the Quarter! These students received a certificate, a Sage Creek swag bag, and a surprise yard sign at their house! Being kind matters ā and new Kind Kids will be selected each term, so keep spreading kindness, Sage Creek!
