While summer brings adventure, itās also a time for growth and preparation. Ms. Sumsion is working with a fantastic team of Instructional Coaches to support and train new and returning teachers. Sage Creek is lucky to have such an amazing coach!
Jinyue (Amber) Li is our new 1st grade Chinese teacher. Born and raised in China, she completed her first Masterās degree in Applied Linguistics in Beijing before moving to Utah, where she earned a second Masterās degree in Second Language Teaching from Brigham Young University. In addition to her academic training, she holds a Utah Professional Educator License with Chinese and Dual Language Immersion (DLI) endorsements. Jinyue has taught Mandarin to children in both Utah and the United Kingdom, and she firmly believes the early years are the most magical time to pick up a new language. She is so excited to meet her 1st graders and kick off this bilingual adventure together. We are so excited to have her at Sage Creek Elementary!
Ms. Hartung visited Yellowstone with her family, making more summer memories in the great outdoors!
Ms. Youd, Mrs. Mousser, Ms. Sumsion, Ms. Harris, and Ms. Wilkinson met with Sage, our beloved dragon mascot, all in their glam glasses, to prepare for an amazing upcoming school year!
Ms. Wilkinson continues working on cross stitching her ABC afghanāof course, sporting her glam glasses!

š Glam meets tradition! Ms. Xiao Fang Marshall and her husband brought the glam to their traditional Chinese reception in Malaysia with family. āØ What a beautiful way to celebrate!
Ms. Mott soaked up the sun at the pool with her daughter and enjoyed tubing down the river at Lava Hot Springsānothing says summer like water adventures and glam glasses!
Ms. Harris and Ms. Reynolds took their "Glam Glasses" out for a spin on the golf course this weekāand brought plenty of style to every swing! Who knew teachers could rock the fairway AND the runway?
Ms. Reynolds and her kids are living their best summer lives at Disneyland! š° They even snagged a photo with the infamous Captain Hookāwhat a magical adventure!
Congratulations to Ms. Johnson on her beautiful weddingāshe and her husband were absolutely dazzling in their matching Glam glasses! š We loved seeing Mr. Runolfson and Ms. Wood there to celebrate too.
š Glam goes global! Miss Harper took her glam international this summer on a river cruise through Italy, with a stop in Croatia to explore a breathtaking national park. From climbing Mount Etna and riding in a gondola to enjoying authentic pasta, pizza, and gelato, she did it all! ššļø After her trip abroad, she headed home to Annapolis for family time, beach days, and her annual stop at the Amish market for fresh soft pretzels. š„Ø The perfect mix of adventure, great food, and loved ones!

šļø 2nd time is the charm! Mrs. Betts and Marisa took another run at Mount Timpanogos and made it to the summit! š This time they avoided the snow and brought the glam to Timp! What an incredible achievement!

Ms. Nicol went on a whirlwind adventure in Japanāvisiting the Torii gates, wandering through a bamboo forest, exploring Osaka and Tokyo Disneyland, and even making her own kimono!

Focusing on wellbeing, Ms. Youd, Mrs. Mousser, Ms. Sumsion, and Ms. Harris participated in the In-Focus Wellness Professional Development, learning new strategies for student and teacher wellness and connection.
