Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (March 2-6)!
Ms. Johnson's 5th grade class has been busy designing and engineering flood-resistant houses! This hands-on activity encouraged students to use critical thinking, problem-solving, and engineering principles and apply them to real world challenges.

Thank YOU!!!!!

Our kindergarten students recently visited Conover Park to look for signs of winter as part of their science learning! Although this yearās mild winter made it a bit challenging to find snow and ice, students carefully observed the weather and environment around them. This hands-on experience supports Utah Science Standard K.1 as students learn how to observe local weather patterns and understand how weather affects the choices people make each day.

Today, our lunch recess was transformed into a literary adventure as "The Books on the Bus" made a special visit! Students traded their old favorites and selected new books to take home. A big thank you to everyone involved in bringing the joy of reading to our students!
Exciting times in Ms. Hartung's 3rd-grade class! Our scientists have been exploring patterns in motion as part of their science core curriculum. They've taken creativity to the next level with their amazing Rube Goldberg experiments!

The Books on the Bus Book Exchange on March 4th!

Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (February 23-27)!
Sage Creek Elementary has been celebrating the Chinese New Year, Year of the Horse! Many students dressed in stunning traditional attire. DLI Students also visited kindergarten classrooms, teaching them to say "Happy New Year" in Chinese. The creativity flowed as students crafted New Year-inspired art and shared their talents during our school performance of songs and dances. Students also paraded the Loong (dragon) to bring good luck, wisdom, and prosperity to our students and staff.
The excitement culminated at the District Chinese New Year Celebration, where our community enjoyed traditional foods, activities, the amazing performances of face-changing dancers. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration unforgettable and to our AMAZING DLI teachers!
