What an inspiring day at Sage Creek! We were thrilled to welcome back our former student and Team USA Skeleton athlete, Bradley Nicol! Bradley shared his incredible journey from our classrooms to training for the Olympics. Although he's recovering from surgery and won't compete this year, his sights are set on the next Winter Olympics. Our students were captivated as he talked about setting goals, showing grit, and even got to see a real skeleton sled up close! Plus, a special treatāa motivational video from Olympian Austin Florian, currently in Italy prepping for the games. Thank you, Bradley, for showing our students what dedication and perseverance look like. We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (February 2-6)!

Our 5th grade DLI students are immersing themselves in the vibrant traditions of Chinese New Year by creating personalized art folders. With guidance from our talented District Art Coach, Ms. Andersen, students are exploring the 12 zodiacs, crafting stories, and engaging in traditional Chinese art forms like paper cutting and painting.

Exciting times in Ms. Karren's kindergarten class! Our young mathematicians are crafted beautiful bracelets to explore the "Friends of 10" concept. This hands-on activity helped them discover different ways to make 10 while fostering creativity!

We are still looking for volunteers for our Career Fair on March 25th!

Our first grade DLI classes have achieved the incredible honor of being the top Amira Top Readers in the entire district! Special congratulations to Adelynn, Hunter, and Henry for securing the top three spots district-wide! To celebrate their hard work and dedication, the top readers received certificates, and the entire class enjoyed a fun-filled donut party! Way to go, Dragons! Keep up the amazing reading!
Our talented District Art Coach, Ms. Andersen, visited the 1st grade to lead a creative adjective adventure. Students learned about adjectives through literature, then unleashed their imaginations to design unique "Adjective Backpack Cat Buddies" on shrink film. Watching their creations magically shrink in the toaster oven was pure delight! Each student described and named their cat, now proudly displayed on their backpacks. Such a purr-fect way to combine art with language learning!
On Monday, our 4th graders showcased their incredible projects at the Science Fair, diving into fascinating topics like static electricity, solvation, and the pH levels in Utah water. A huge thank you to the Springville High School students who volunteered their time to judge the entries. Your support made this event a success!
Congratulations to our incredible Nebo School District 5th grade Champions and Qualifiers from Sage Creek! We are so proud of each of you for your hard work and dedication. A special shoutout to Mackay for achieving 1st PLACE!!! š„

Last Friday, our 5th graders channeled their inner Michelangelo! Inspired by their CKLA readers, they took to painting masterpieces under their desks, just like Michelangelo did on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. This creative twist helped them explore the challenges and triumphs of working on a large-scale project.

Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (January 26-30)!
