On Friday, October 2, 2026, Sage Creek Elementary proudly participated in Utah’s first statewide Utah Reads Read-a-Thon, joining more than 275,000 students and adults across the state in the shared goal of building lifelong reading habits. Students celebrated literacy in creative and memorable ways by reading in tents, using glow sticks, enjoying books with buddies, and spending the day dressed in pajamas. Inspired by Governor Spencer Cox’s statewide kickoff and the event’s mission to encourage students to put down screens and discover the joy of reading.
