Organized by our dedicated school counselor, Ms. Harris, with the enthusiastic assistance of the Student Council, the event was a resounding success, providing students with a hands-on glimpse into a diverse array of careers.

The fair featured an impressive lineup of guests from various professions, each bringing unique experiences and insights to share with the students:

  • Dana from Mapleton Floral gifted each student with a carnation, introducing them to the beauty of floral design.

  • Jessica Carter, a local music teacher, captivated students with the opportunity to practice on an electric keyboard, sparking interest in the arts.

  • Andy Reid, a professor and historian, shared a rare book, igniting curiosity about history and literature.

  • Springville City First Responders provided crucial safety information, coupled with the fun of receiving cool stickers, fostering a sense of community safety awareness.

  • Tanner Runolfson, a skilled leather worker, demonstrated the craft by stamping students' initials onto pieces of leather, offering a tactile introduction to artisanal skills.

  • McCall Johnson, a stained glass artist, guided students in creating a collaborative cat-themed artwork, merging creativity with teamwork.

  • Jessica Washburn, a pilot, shared tools and insights into aviation, opening students' eyes to the possibilities of flying.

  • John Wilson, an engineer, engaged students with videos and expertise, showcasing the wonders of engineering.
